A fabulously entertaining show – perfect for all the family. It is not often that one show can truly entertain all age groups but Paulo’s manages it each year. We were all mesmerised from start to finish.

A professional circus with fantastic acts (all human – no animals here) that entertain with their strength, skill, talent and unbelievable and humorous acts comes to Topsham in July. Each year, the show changes and somehow manages to better each time and those who have been before will definitely want to return.
Over the years, we have laughed at the slapstick humour of the funny modern clown (not scary), been amazed by the strength and elegance of the spinning hoop ladies or tightrope walker, and the impossible act of changing outfits in seconds, wanted to take part in the lazer fight, really enjoyed the fireman ladder act, and been in awe of the juggler. I really cannot rave about Paulo’s Circus enough – it has to be seen to be believed! To get a glimpse then check out my reels on Instagram 2021 and 2022
For the younger children 0-3 years, or those a bit more sensitive, then I recommend taking ear defenders as the music, which adds to the performances, can be loud (to be exciting, but not deafening or jumpy). The first year we went my 4 year old wore her ear defenders but my 2 year old didn’t – I needn’t have worried about it being too intense or frightening though – it’s great fun. Both of mine were entranced by all the acrobatics, lights and music. They also use smoke machines and strobe lighting to add to the theatrical experience.
