4th November: Mothers on the Mic, Exeter Library, Join Mothers Who Make for our inclusive and revolutionary performance space in Exeter. Local M/Others will share songs and performances exploring everything from mythology, domesticity and power. The event is adult centred with children very welcome too. This will be both relaxed and lively, children will have equal status in the room. Those who take to the mic may have children on stage with them.
4th November: Meaning Beyond Motherhood, Exeter Southgate, REconnect with who you are. REdefine what is possible for you. REdesign a life that lifts you. This is a day all about you. Contact Lin directly for an amazing LittleDevonDiscount (just £73.50 rather than £97 or £147)
5th November: Playful Cafe, Maketank, Paris Street, Exeter, 10-4. We will offer music, food – expect Dutch pancakes!!! – games and a range of immersive and fun activities that support building intergenerational and intercultural bridges. We will challenge you in an engaging and informal environment to use play for the creation of new connections while simultaneously develop creativity, compassion, and wellbeing. This FREE and open to all Social Science event is created by the University of Exeter and a cultural lab for social change.
12th November: Dads and Tiny Tots Meetup. Belmont Park, Exeter. We are Dads and Tiny Tots, meeting at the Newtown Community Centre in Belmont Park every second Saturday of the month. Our first meetup will be the 12th November 10:30-12:00. Please come along with your little one to join us for a tea and some cake. We ask for a donation of £3 when you join us.
12th November: Squid and the Kid. 62 Fore Street Topsham, New Shop Launch, 10am.
17th November – 2nd January: Exeter’s Winter Wonderland, Northernhay Gardens, 11am – 10pm. With plenty of exciting rides and attractions, an abundance of locally-sourced festive refreshments and a giant Santa’s Grotto, this year’s Winter Wonderland will also include a Mini Christmas Market – Perfect for that extra special gift this holiday season.
18th November – 18th December: Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market. The Cathedral Green will once again this year be the festive place to be in the run up until Christmas. This lovely area in front of the glorious Cathedral will sparkle and twinkle this festive period with the Exeter Christmas Market and all its stalls offering gifts, foods, crafts and lots more to help make a Christmas special
22-26th November: Exeter Musical Society: Shrek the Musical, Exeter Northcott
26 November: Carnival of the Animals, RAMM Queen St, Exeter, 1:30pm-4:30pm. Enjoy an afternoon of music, storytelling, dance, games and crafting at the museum, before heading to Exeter Carnival in the evening. Bring your friends and family along to listen to musical performances by the Devon Philharmonic Orchestra and be taken on an animal themed adventure performed by the fantastic storyteller Clive Pig. Be guided in dance inspired by the movement of animals with performers from Exeter College and have a go at creating animal masks and headdresses to wear along to the evenings carnival (£3.50 per craft activity, per child). We’d love for you come along dressed as one of your favourite animals – what will you be on the day?
26th November: Exeter Carnival, 6-8pm The Exeter Carnival is set to return this November and light up the heart of the city with a parade of floats, bands and more. Looks like one not to be missed. Can’t Wait!
28th November: Little Devon Meet up: Christmas Keepsake – Handprint Baubles & Painted Pottery Decorations Join us for a fabulous morning printing our little one’s handprints on baubles, or letting either you or them lose with the paints, for the most gorgeous Christmas keepsake to treasure for years to come.
29th November: Christmas Wreath Workshop – Little Ones welcome, Alphington Village Hall, An occasion to make a beautiful Christmas wreath while your children play. All too often we don’t get the opportunity to be creative, as workshops aren’t child-friendly. No longer is this the case! For a second year, Little Devon will be running the fabulous Christmas wreath workshop with play areas set up for the children.
