Bear Grylls and the team at the newly-named Nature Valley Gone Wild Festival are excited to reveal that there are three new chart-topping bands on the festival programme, even more thrilling activities and a partnership with Nature Valley. Planning is ramping up and the countdown is on to the most memorable family outdoor event to take place in Devon this year!
We are soooooo excited here at Little Devon for this amazing festival. After what has been a year of ground hog days, August bank holiday – when the Nature Vally Gone Wild Festival comes to Powederham Castle – seems within reach and something to get very excited about. (If you’d like to remind yourself of just how exciting it’s going to be see also our previous post about Gone Wild festival here.)
We already know the amazing headliners Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight and Ministry Of Sound Orchestra, but now joining the headliners with an energetic set is pop legend Melanie C, Scouting For Girls (with Bear Grylls being the scouting movements’ “Chief Scout” this band is pretty aptly named!) as well as Morcheeba on the chilled out Sunday afternoon.
But what we love most about this festival is that it’s a truly family affair. Our little ones will love CBBC favourites Andy & The Odd Socks and Dick & Dom who will also take to the stage during the bank holiday weekend. And we all know if the little ones are having fun, then so can we!
During the festival, we can get inspired by world-famous explorers and adventurers, who will be giving talks and leading activities. New to the festival are;
- Sky News Presenter and ex SAS soldier, Phil Campion who will be running SAS Airsoft
- Wildlife conservationist and filmmaker, James Glancy who will be offering wildlife filming workshops
- TV broadcaster and marine biologist, Monty Halls.
- World record-breaking explorer and endurance athlete, George Bullard
- The youngest female to have rowed the Atlantic, Jasmine Harrison
- The “Magic Marine” from Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Final, James Stott
- Big Wave Surfer, Andrew Cotton and fitness expert, Andrew Blake
Since the roadmap announcement we’ve been blown away by the support we’ve received from the general public. Nature Valley Gone Wild is going to be the ultimate family staycation, and something for us to look forward to after a tough year! In addition to the amazing bands announced we’re super excited to have joined forces with Nature Valley. We love everything about their Get Out More campaign and what it stands for, and it fits perfectly into our vision. We want families to get out more and find their adventure, a key part of that is delicious, responsibly sourced nutrition. There is so much natural synergy between the two brands, I’m so proud of the newly named Nature Valley Gone Wild Festival.Oliver Mason, CEO and Founder at Gone Wild Events Limited
At Nature Valley, we exist to connect people with nature and helping people ‘’get out more’’ whether it is a hike in the outdoors, a swim in the lake or simply encouraging them to be active and trying new things out of their comfort zone. We couldn’t be more aligned to the festival team’s mission to inspire families across Britain to experience everyday adventure with their loved ones and are thrilled to be on the journey building this unique outdoors experience together at Nature Valley Gone Wild Festival with Bear Grylls for the coming years.Adrienne Burke, Marketing Manager of Snacking at General Mills
