Flower Picking & Vintage Tea Meet Up – May 2026
Join us for an absolute treat of a mummy meet up – picking your own beautiful seasonal bouquet of flowers and enjoying a vintage tea party with gorgeous views and, of course, great company all with likeminded parents and children.
Surround yourself with beautiful blooms, choosing your favourites and creating your own stunning bunch of flowers with your baby, toddler or pre-schooler. For the Little Devon event, it is even more special as we continue the day with a delicious vintage tea and cake where we can all chat, laugh and get to know each other while little one can play next to us on blankets.
As ever, your little one(s) are most welcome at the event – babies, toddlers and preschoolers. It’s also a glorious day out to share with Grandparents, Parents-to-be or friends without children to join us too. So let’s soak up the beginning of the summer and sprinkle some seasonal beauty in our home!
What you’ll experience
- Creative Flower picking and arranging fun: Enjoy a beautiful experience meandering through Amelia’s field of stunning flowers picking whichever blooms bring you joy – to take home and enjoy for weeks. (The flowers are glorious and all grown lovingly without chemicals and pesticides).
- Everything included: A welcome cuppa by the old apple tree – we can get to know each other and get ourselves sorted and relaxed (I know how leaving the house with little ones can be!), A PYO bunch of flowers, a vintage tea party together – delicious cakes and tea/ coffee / sparkling elderflower and a chance to get to know one another.
- Playing little ones: A small area of blankets, books and toys set up for the children suitable for their age as well as a children’s play area at Amelia’s that they can enjoy.
- Connect with other parents: Meet new friends chatting over flowers and designs and paint colours not just sleep chat (although I’m sure we’ll cover that too!)
- Super-friendly fun atmosphere!

What do I need to bring?
It’s all very relaxed so, most of all, just bring yourself and be ready to do something glorious for YOU! But here’s a few things to note: It is a working flower farm so please wear sensible footwear for nettles or grass etc and you are obviously responsible for your child. Babies in slings or prams – whatever works well for you. Cutting bucket and snips are supplied but if toddlers want to join in cutting you might like to bring some child scissors. Best to bring something to take flowers home in that won’t fall over in the car as well, or Amelia sells buckets for £1.
The event will be going ahead come rain or shine (this is the UK after all) so please dress according to the weather. The Vintage Tea Party will be upstairs in the barn. I can help with getting prams up the stairs if needed, or we will have a cosy area with blankets that babies can lie down just near us and prams can be left downstairs.
Sell or Swap Table
Please feel free to bring good quality preloved items that you’d like to sell, swap or giveaway. Label everything clearly with the price and your name. Please limit this to just a few great quality pieces rather than bags full! This is the first time I’ve included a sell or swap table so we’ll see how it goes together!

Important Details:
- Accessibility: The vintage tea party (tea & cake) is held upstairs in the barn – there is no lift. If you’re bringing the pram you’re welcome to leave it downstairs or we can help to carry it up the stairs.
