Christmas Keepsake – Handprint Baubles & Painted Pottery Decorations
Join us for a fabulous morning printing our little one’s handprints on baubles, or letting either you or them lose with the paints, for the most gorgeous Christmas keepsake to treasure for years to come
I absolutely love the handprint that I created for my daughter on her first Christmas. It is our most precious decoration that we hang near the top of the tree and she loves watching it twirl and seeing just how small her hand was. But we did it DIY style with a bit of acrylic paint and it’s starting to chip away. So I guess I’m saying don’t be like us – come to this fabulous meet up and get it done properly!! For my little boy, Em invited me to her Studio in Sidmouth where we created his which I adore and treasure and know it will last a lifetime (*hopefully as long as he doesn’t get his hands on it!) I have to admit I was nervous going to a pottery studio with a wilful then 3 year old and a 6 month old, but I needn’t have been. It was surprisingly calm and the painting captivated her attention beautifully.
What I love about doing these events is that we’re all there and in it together. We have the place exclusively for us and we understand little ones – we’re all parents and all ready to offer support whether cuddling a baby or helping with distraction or simply letting your little one have time to release. If you’re juggling more than one child then we’ll all help out.
What to expect:
Please join us for the full 1.5 hour event when we can enjoy the Something Lovely Pottery Studio in Sidmouth exclusively for this Little Devon event. We’ll have a chat, meet some new people, enjoy some mulled apple juice and cake and paint pottery. Either you can just do a handprint bauble with (or without) Em’s help or you can also choose to paint your own piece with a 10% Little Devon Discount on all items of pottery.
- A meet up with like-minded parents.
- A choice of bauble or flat decoration (included in the price) to decorate with your little one’s hand print or however you choose.
- Em helping us all to get that perfect handprint or if you’d like extra personalisation of names or dates by Em in her beautiful writing then she’ll take an extra £3 at the studio.
- 10% Little Devon Discount on any extra items of pottery you may decide to paint – Father Christmas plate anyone?
- Delicious cupcakes and mulled apple juice for you and your little one(s) to enjoy.
- Super-friendly fun atmosphere!
It’s one ticket per family (ticket price includes 1 bauble or flat decoration – more can be bought for siblings) so all are welcome, just let me know of the number of children and their ages on checkout. It’s an occasion to have a bit of fun and do something that perhaps you wouldn’t think of as a ‘normal’ baby or preschooler activity!
What do I need to bring?
You and your child*.
*Child is optional!
Are spaces limited?
Yes, as ever, they are. This time we’re able to have quite a big meet up of 18 so feel free to suggest it to your parent friends too and why not have a walk along the sea-front first or head for some lunch together after. You really don’t have to come with someone though, it’s a great way to meet people – I’ll be on my own too!
