Easter egg hunt fun in Devon 2022

Let’s hop off to some fabulous local attractions for cracking trails! Here’s some great Easter Egg Trails happening in Devon.

National Trust Easter Trails: along with 10 nature-inspired activities (hopping like an Easter bunny, peeking into veg patches etc) and then collect a chocolate egg on completion. RHS Rosemoor Giant Easter Egg hunt (9-24 April) Go hunting for the larger-than-life eggs hidden around the garden and meet the Easter Bunny on select days. There’s even more fun with a family cinema experience and The Great Wool Weekend.

Pennywell Farm this Easter has an EGG-STRAVAGANZA! It’s sounds seriously good! We love Pennywell normally but this! WOW.

  • The Egg-stravaganza Trail (9th-18th April)
    Suitable for kids of all ages, this super-fun trail will have you following clues all around the farm, leading you to the Easter Bunny’s House! Take a look around and leave a note for her while she’s busy getting ready for Easter! Completed trails will also earn you a chocolatey prize.
  • The Egg-stravaganza Photo Competition (9th-18th April)
    Upload a photo of ‘Easter fun @ Pennywell’. The winning photographer will receive a HUGE Easter hamper worth over £250!!
  • Guess the weight of the Easter Bunny’s Helpers (9th-18th April)
    4 of the Easter Bunny’s helpers are not being very helpful at all! Watch them hop around their pen causing mischief and guess the average weight of all of them for the chance to win 4 VIP tickets to Pennywell!
  • Guess how many Eggs in the Jar (9th-18th April)
    Can you guess how many eggs are in the jar? The closest guesser will win the MASSIVE jar of yummy chocolate eggs!
  • Colouring Competition (9th-18th April)
    On the back the Egg-stravaganza trail sheets. Upload a photo of your coloured in bunny and be in with a chance of winning a goody-bag of toys PLUS a £5 voucher to spend in the Pennywell Shop!
  • Farmyard Easter Egg Hunt (EASTER WEEKEND ONLY 15th-18th April)
    A scheduled activity within each session. Find one of the eggs scattered throughout the farmyard and return it to your activity leader to exchange it for a chocolate one! Pennywell farmers who find the GOLDEN EGGS will receive an extra special prize!
  • ALL INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET PRICE

Babbacombe Model Village, need you to crack the Easter Egg Trail (2 – 24 April). Hop on over and try and find all of our colourful eggs hidden in and around the gardens. All successful young explorers will enjoy a chocolatey treat!  You can also enjoy the new 9-hole crazy golf.

Bear Town search for eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny (9 – 24 April). The egg hunt is being run during the usual two hour play sessions. Once all the eggs have been found, each child can collect a yummy little Easter treat!

The Donkey Sanctuary, Sun 24 April a great nature trail around the sanctuary to discover what animals (besides donkeys) you could find living in the various habitats located across our land in Devon and Dorset. £5 per trail, including an Easter egg on completion and a biodegradable bag of seeds to help you create your own wildflower meadow at home

Ullacombe farm have lots of fun set up for Easter including an Easter Egg Hunt on the Farm on the (12 & 17)

Crealy Theme Park & Resort, (9 – 24 April) ‘After a recent archaeological dig at the Theme Park, evidence has been unearthed that a large community of Dinosaurs once roamed the lands where Crealy stands today! Huge bone structures, fossilised footprints and mysterious large eggs have also been uncovered and we are looking for volunteers to help us discover the secret location of more Dino eggs across the Theme Park. Get ready to sink your teeth into this quest as you will be tasked with co-ordinates to reveal the precise locations of the hidden eggs, using your very own prehistoric map. Once all locations have been discovered – collect your chocolatey reward from Dinosaur HQ!’ You can also enjoy Alice’s Wonderland Show live in the Crealy Arena featuring comedy acrobatics, dance and aerial arts in this spectacular show.

Powderham Castle (10 – 24 April, 10am – 5pm excluding Saturdays). Get exploring outdoors and learn all about native birds and their eggs with this egg-citing Easter trail! Collect your free activity sticker book from the Welcome Centre on arrival and get exploring! Follow the trail around the grounds searching for the giant eggs, learning about the birds as you go.
