I love an outdoor explore, and with my ‘treasure map of adventure’ as my daughter calls it (which I think is just the best and perfect name), I am set!
As you know, I love an adventure and an outdoor explore with my little ones, but sometimes I need inspiration for where to go. I was so excited when I discovered the amazing Dartmoor scratch maps by Paignton-based company Outdoor Scratch Maps.
It lists 56 Tors and 15 points of interest. So with over 70 places for us to explore, I am going to be busy for a while now! Check out my instagram reel for a walk it inspired here.
I love the map, the illustrations, the scratch & date concept for that feeling of achievement! Recently, I had been searching for a personal challenge that’s achievable with the children and this is exactly it. I can complete it slowly but surely with no time pressure – because let’s be honest that doesn’t always go well when kids are involved!
The poster is A2 size and printed on high quality silk FSC paper in the UK and comes in a cardboard tube (no plastic!) rolled in a seeded paper thank you slip which you can plant after reading and help the bees!
There are other maps too – Lake District Map, Peak District Map, UK National Parks, London, New York, Paris (I think I definitely need this one too!)
