Powderham Castle: Christmas at the Castle
“Until Thursday 31st December, wrap up warm, throw on some wellies and wander the grounds to experience the castle like never before! Our light trail will allow you to explore the castle grounds, with festive refreshments and activities to keep the little ones entertained. The illuminations are open daily until New Years Eve (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day)
Day time tickets are now sold out for most dates, but tickets for later slots have been added! Please note, if you have one of these tickets you will not be able to arrive before 7pm.”
Cotley Farm: Cotley Christmas
So much more than just a place to buy a Christmas tree, Cotley is magical for the preschoolers. See the nativity scene and join by holding the donkey’s rope to lead him to baby Jesus; watch the baby cute lambs and piglets with their mummies and most excitingly of all take some pound coins to buy some special treats to feed the reindeer!
Topsham: Festive Cheer
Topsham do everything so well, including spreading a bit of festive cheer. A evening wandering round their gorgeous lit up town, looking in the Christmas window displays and enjoying a treat from one of the cafes. Don’t forget to make it down to the museum and look through their window too.
Art Club: Toddler Christmas Art
Art Club Exeter is a fab group that enables little ones to show their creativity and experience lots of crafts in one session. Adults love it too as someone else preps and clears up! Sophie and Zoe have such wonderful designs and ideas – each week really is a treat. Personally, I love that it is had drawn too – shows children that not everything comes from the computer!
Poco Drom: Christmas Musical Extravaganza
We love Poco and his bouncing, jumping and wriggling songs and join him on a Facebook live on Wednesday 23rd December for his Christmas Extravaganza.
It’s great getting outside with the little ones and even better when a walk can engage them with some Christmas fun. Seaton Wetlands have wooden reindeer spotting.

Follow the path around the woods to find the 11 hidden decorated stocking letters and unravel the Christmas anagram! Each stocking has been designed by a pupil at Decoy School! Suggested £1 minimum donation, please buy a ticket to help us continue to raise funds for a new Library at Decoy Primary School. Pennywell Farm: Christmas Experience
When an experience includes: a nativity with real live animals; a festive treat with bouncy castle fun; a place to write and send your letter to Father Christmas; a chance to stroke guinea pigs, rabbits and piglets; a tractor ride; and to then see a fabulous Father Christmas who offers an early pressie – its a must to sign up to the waiting list.
Bear Town: Father Christmas is coming to Bear Town
A two hour play session in the fantastic role play town and a visit to Father Christmas in his grotto… Simply amazing. Check back for cancellations.
